She retired in 1981.My grandfather was Manager of east midlands electricity board until 1979 now Thrapston council tourist information. Office,Huntingdon road and oundle road junction .

  • I recently came across this photo when attempting to trace my ancestry and I have one major question: where am I? I was born in July 1948 and this was my class but I don’t feature. My memory is very hazy and I have no family member able to answer the question. I only spent 3 years at the school before being despatched to board at the Royal School, Wolverhampton (courtesy of the RAF Benevolent Society, my father was a regular when he died in 1951). I do recall most of the boys in the photo and some of the girls also a few of the teachers. I can’t add any names to those already provided but can correct Ronald Mayhew’s first name to Roland (RIP Roly). I believe my elder brother, David must have gone to the Primary School before preceding me to Wolverhampton and my younger sister, Mollie attended both Primary and Secondary Schools. My mother was secretary at the Secondary School for many years.
